1. The service

JotGrove is a personal thought workspace for capturing jots, arranging notes, creating plans and tasks, reviewing saved content, and optionally using AI-assisted drafts, speech transcription, link processing, MCP connections, and the Reset Desk.

The service is currently a public beta. Features may be incomplete, unavailable, changed, or removed as the product develops.

2. Accounts

You must provide an email address you are authorized to use and keep control of your sign-in email and devices. You are responsible for activity performed through your account or an external client you authorize.

Report suspected unauthorized access to: [CONTACT TO BE CONFIRMED]. Minimum age and any parental-consent rules: [TO BE CONFIRMED BEFORE FINAL PUBLICATION].

3. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit to JotGrove. You give the operator limited permission to host, copy, transmit, process, and display it only as needed to operate, secure, synchronize, and maintain the service, and to perform features you request.

You must have the right to upload or process your content. Do not use JotGrove to store or distribute unlawful, infringing, abusive, or malicious material, or information you are prohibited from sharing with the service or a connected provider.

4. AI-assisted features

AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable. Review every draft and verify important facts before relying on it. In the current planning flow, AI output remains separate from the source note, and plans or tasks are created only after approval. If the source changes during a run, an older draft may be marked stale.

AI and the Reset Desk do not provide medical, mental-health, financial, legal, or career advice. They should not be used for emergencies or as a substitute for a qualified professional. You remain responsible for decisions and actions based on generated content.

JotGrove may use configured third-party model or speech providers to perform an action you request. Their availability, output, and processing can be affected by their own services and terms.

5. Local and cloud data

JotGrove is local-first, not local-only. Web edits are stored on the current device first and signed-in content can synchronize to JotGrove’s server. Signing out currently leaves that account’s local database on the device. Clearing browser storage can remove unsynchronized changes.

Synchronization and conflict preservation reduce the risk of silent overwrites but are not a backup guarantee. Keep independent copies of information you cannot afford to lose. JotGrove does not promise end-to-end encryption, uninterrupted synchronization, or recovery of every item.

6. AI Connections and third-party services

When you authorize an MCP client, you permit it to use the scopes shown on the consent screen. A compatible client may read eligible synchronized content and submit drafts for review. You can revoke its JotGrove connection, but revocation cannot erase copies the external provider already received.

External links, websites, AI clients, email services, bot-protection services, and model providers are operated by third parties. Their own terms and privacy practices apply. Subject to rights that cannot legally be excluded, JotGrove is not responsible for independent actions outside its control.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to break the law; violate another person’s rights or privacy; impersonate someone; distribute malware or harmful code; bypass authentication, rate limits, scopes, or access controls; access another user’s workspace; probe or disrupt the service; overload it with abusive automation; or use an MCP or API connection outside its granted permissions.

Automated access is allowed only through interfaces JotGrove explicitly provides and within their documented limits.

8. Beta availability and changes

The beta is provided without a service-level agreement. JotGrove may change features, limits, compatibility, or availability; fix or fail to fix defects; and temporarily suspend parts of the service for security, maintenance, provider failure, or legal reasons.

Any pricing, paid plan, trial, refund, or renewal terms must be added before charging users. This draft makes no promise that the service is free forever.

9. Suspension, termination, and deletion

You may stop using JotGrove at any time. The operator may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, investigate misuse, comply with law, or address a material breach. The final terms must describe any notice or appeal process.

Account deletion exists in the current service implementation, but the final agreement must identify the supported user-facing route, backup window, and information retained for security or legal obligations.

10. Intellectual property

JotGrove’s software, visual identity, trademarks, and original service materials belong to the operator or applicable licensors. These terms do not transfer those rights. Open-source components remain governed by their own licenses.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the beta is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Any limitation of liability, liability cap, consumer-law exception, indemnity, warranty wording, and treatment of data loss must be drafted after the operator and markets are known. [JURISDICTION-SPECIFIC LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED]

12. Governing law, disputes, and changes

The governing law, venue, arbitration or court process, informal dispute procedure, and any mandatory consumer forum are [TO BE CONFIRMED].

The final terms must explain how changes will be announced and when revised terms take effect. Contact: [TO BE CONFIRMED].
